Join Kelsey Derringer to learn the basics of coding micro:bits!
Kiki the robot is having a rough day. You can tell by her quick, nervous breathing. She can use some support from her friends at Family Maker Camp. Practice coding basics, watch your code come to life on our in-studio robot, and help a friend in need.
Students can code their own micro:bits if they have them or use the simulator on the MakeCode website if they don’t. We’ll be coding animations, exploring robots, and practicing some deep breathing exercises.
Register to join the Zoom class on the CodeJoy site (space is limited) to participate fully, or watch and comment LIVE on the Family Maker Camp Facebook page or on the Make: Youtube channel.
- Laptop or Chromebook to program on, preferably separate from your Zoom viewing device. (EX: Watch Zoom on a phone, code on a Chromebook.)
Note: Participants or their guardians will need to sign a video/streaming release form to join the Zoom session.
