Let’s get growing by planting our own garden! Use common household materials to start seeds, discover ways to get a second harvest from vegetables, enjoy tasty sprouts, and learn the basics of hydroponics. • Newspaper or non-glossy sales flyers
• Small can, roughly 6-ounces (unopened is fine)
• Disposable water or soda bottle, washed, with the cap
• Plastic trays from take-out
• Scissors
• Ruler or tape measure
• A screwdriver or awl
• Pencil or pen
• Masking tape
• Toothpicks
• Potting soil
• Seeds such as lettuce, cucumber, peas, beans, etc.
