Mechanical Legs
Join Kelsey Derringer from
CodeJoy to meet scientist, teacher, and former PBS show host Adam Lazarus to investigate the insect world.
We will create mechanical versions of the things we find using craft supplies and common household items!
Part make-and-take webinar, part crafting class, part interview, this class is a blast for anyone!
Materials list:
- Cardboard box (corrugated or chipboard, cereal boxes are great!)
- 1-2 rubber bands
- 2 paper clips
- String
- Straws
- Pipe cleaner or twist tie
- Scissors; or cutting blade and cutting mat
- Tape or hot glue
- Optional: Other decorating supplies
Register to join the Zoom meeting on the
CodeJoy site (space limited to 10 participants) to participate fully, or tune into the
livestream.
Note: Participants or their guardians will need to sign a video/streaming release form to join the Zoom session.
